Residents of Express Zenith, a residential society in Sector 77, Noida, celebrated Janmashtami at the society club house today.
As this was first event that residents held in this under-construction society, they planned in a way that residents from all age group had opportunity to demonstrate their talents on the stage and had enjoyed a lot.
Vinoy Kumar, a resident, said there were a number of cultural programs which included fancy dress competition for children, dance competition for couples, talent show, and tambola.
Saurabh Kumar, another resident, said women of the society sang bhajan and kids dressed up as Lord Krishna played Matki phod.
Santosh Singh said the ritual of performing pooja started at late night on Monday and it went for an hour. The celebration concluded with distribution of prasad among all residents who were present at the occasion.
