Initiating strong action late in the night, Noida Authority sealed tower number 2 of Amrapali office in Sector 62, Noida.
The sealing happened at around 1am yesterday. The tower is located on plot no. 39 of Block C-56. Prior to the action, Noida Authority had cancelled the lease deed of the property and taken it under its control.

The plot was originally allotted in the name Navodaya Property Pvt Ltd, which owes around Rs 9.10 crore to Corporation Bank. The bank was to carry out an online auction of the plot today.
Police and a five-member team of Noida Authority reached the building late in the night and sealed five floors of the building and locked the gate of the compound.
Meanwhile, a small altercation broke out between the officers of the authority and the security guards posted at the compound.

Officials of Noida Authority refused to comment on the issue. They said they had orders from top officials, and the sealing was related to Navodaya property and not Amrapali. However, the offices in the building were being operated by Amrapali.
According to sources, on August 8, Noida Authority, issued notices to both Corporation Bank and Navodaya Property Pvt Ltd, asking how the bank could decide to auction the plot without seeking permission from the Authority.
When both the parties did not respond even till yesterday (August 17), Noida Authority cancelled the lease deed of the property and seized it by sealing the five floors along with the main gate.
