A founding member said several of their campaigns could not be executed due to lack of proper planning.
In order to deliberate on their next set of campaigns, the Green Team from Ahinsa Khand II in Indirapuram is set to conduct a meet of all members today. The team has been conducting cleanliness campaigns and drives to keep the neighbourhood clean and free from garbage. However, speaking to City Spidey, members said that since its inception, a number of members have joined with representatives from almost all the societies in Ahinsa Khand II.
Members said it was imperative that all the activities are planned properly beforehand with assigned roles and responsibilities. “Several of our campaigns could not be executed due to lack of proper planning. We have invited all members to participate in the meeting and decide the next course of action,” said Jayati Jain, a founding member of the team.
Members also maintained that many of the activities require assistance from civic authorities, such as the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC). However, members maintained that both the authorities pass the buck to each other. While the Indirapuram area is under the maintenance of the GDA, residents pay their house taxes to the GMC. Green Team members maintained that they had approached both the authorities over certain issues, but have not seen much development on the ground level. “We have now decided to approach the district administration to provide a viable solution,” said a member.
The meeting of all the Green Team members is scheduled is set to be held at Gaur Valerio in Ahinsa Khand II.
