Gurgaon: Several much-needed traffic diversions in place

Gurgaon traffic police has been adopting new routes to make commuting easy for people. Recently, the traffic police, in association with Road Safety Officers (RSO), have put some much-needed diversions in place.

One of the most vital moves has been for the traffic moving between Badshahpur and Rajeev Chowk. This stretch will now be signal-free. This has been done on a trial basis to assess the feasibility of the move.

For people who want to turn right from Subhash Chowk towards Huda City Centre, will have to take a compulsory left and after a U-turn will need to take the Subhash Chowk flyover to reach Huda City Centre. Similarly, commuters travelling from Rajeev Chowk will have to take a left from Subhash Chowk and get on to the flyover for Hero Honda Chowk.

In the other changes, the traffic from Huda Metro station will only be able to take left for Sohna and traffic from Hero Honda Chowk can only go towards Rajeev Chowk.

Speaking to City Spidey, Dharamvir Verma RSO (Road Safety Officer), said, “We are testing these routes before some major changes can be put in place. This trial will help us to analyse where we need changes.”
