Venting their woes, members of Federation of Noida RWAs, or FONRWA, wrote to local MP Dr Mahesh Sharma, also the Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture, on the issue of traffic on the link road connecting Mayur Vihar Phase I to GB Nagar.

The letter states that Noida residents, who use this link road, are often stuck for hours during peak hours.

According to the traffic department of the city, more than the 10 lakh people use the road every day.

NP Singh, FONRWA president, complained with more and more apartments coming up on Greater Noida Expressway the situation is getting worse. “The solution is to construct an elevated highway over Shahdara drain, starting from DND clover leaf in Mayur Vihar to join Greater Noida Expressway near Mahamaya Flyover.”

Dhiraj Kumar, a resident of Divine Meadows, a residential society in Sector 108, said, “The traffic signal at Sector 16A (Film City) and Sector 15A should be removed because they are also responsible for jams. Noida Authority should instead make U-turns.”

Anuj Singh, a resident of Sector 92, added, “Then, there’s the problem of waterlogging. Noida Authority should make arrangements on the expressway to drain out the excess water during monsoons.”
