Kejriwal announced a compensation for the victim's families.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and deputy Manish Sisodia reached the Ghazipur landfill incident site to ascertain the situation.
DM Delhi, Juhi Mukherjee, was also present at the spot. Together they tried to piece together what happened from the accounts of eyeitnesses.
Kejriwal said, "I will discuss the matter with the lieutenant governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal, as the height of the garbage mount had increased beyond the permissible limit. I will pressure the municipal corporation for immediate action and urge them to adopt the latest measures for proper garbage disposal, and not dump waste like this."
He also announced a compensation for the victim's families.
