The magisterial probe into the Armaan Sehgal death case is still pending due to the absence of the forensic report. The report is yet to be submitted by the Ghaziabad police.

Rajesh Yadav, ADM (finance and revenue), had asked for the DVR and CCTV footage of the school premises, along with the forensic report of the incident from the Ghaziabad police on August 22. Although the CCTV footage was submitted, the forensic report is yet to be. Forensic teams have collected evidence from the school premises on three accounts since the incident. The magistrate had recorded statements from 21 individuals from the school, along with other circumstantial evidence.

Armaan Sehgal, a Class IV student of GD Goenka Public School, Indirapuram, died under mysterious circumstances on school premises on August 1. An FIR was lodged against school officials and the matter is now being heard in the Allahabad High Court. Following the incident, the magisterial probe was ordered by Ministhy S, district magistrate of Ghaziabad, on August 1. The report of the probe was to be prepared in 15 days.

“The probe is almost complete and I am waiting for the forensic report of the incident. We have also asked for expert opinion on the post mortem report on Armaan Sehgal from the director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences [AIIMS], and we will have it soon. The probe will be complete once we have that,” said Yadav, who is heading the magisterial inquiry.
