The NCPCR has ordered the police to book the school in Bhondsi for its callousness in providing safety to children.
Gurgaon Police has slapped charges of cruelty against children, covered by Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act against the Ryan International School authorities and added the name of the school in the FIR on Sunday.
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has asked the police to include charges under Sector 75 JJ Act, under which negligence against the school authorities has to be considered.
The NCPCR has asked for action against the school authorities as well, for their callousness in providing basic security to students.
Sandeep Khirwar, commissioner of police, told City Spidey that “currently we have booked a case under sections 302 [murder] IPC, Arms Act, Section 12 [sexual harassment against the child] POSCO Act and 75 JJ Act. As investigations progress, there could be more changes to the FIR.
