Parents of several schools in Ghaziabad had conducted a candlelight march today to protest against the murder of Pradduman Thakur, an eight year old student of Ryan International School, Gurgaon. The march started in the evening from Shipra Mall, Indirapuram and continued till Noida Sector 62.
Speaking to City Spidey parents have said that this march was also conducted to protest against the recent spate of crimes that are being committed against children in the NCR schools. The parents said that managements of schools are completely responsible for the security lapses and have hence demanded the intervention of the state authorities in terms of restoring safety.
“In Ghaziabad too there have been several incidents of school children getting injured or even loosing their lives. All this has happened due to the negligence of school authorities. The schools are just not ready to provide proper facilities and services after charging exorbitant fees,” said Shivani Jain, a concerned parent.
