Noida Authority refuses to approve 144 flats in Sunworld Vanalika

Noida Authority has refused to give completion and occupancy certificates for 144 flats, built illegally by the builder in Sunworld Vanalika, a residential society in Sector 107 of Noida.

According to an official of the planning department of Noida Authority, AK Rai, additional CEO (ACEO), had given the permission to the planning department to issue CCs and OCs to those flats.

But in a meeting was held between the ACEO and builder this week, the decision was reversed because the flats were not built according to the layout plan sanctioned by the planning department.

According to an official, the builder has been given a month’s time to demolish the illegal flats.

The developer also owes Rs 56 crore to the authority as land dues, said the official.

In the meeting, the authority asked the builder to deposit the 10 per cent of the land dues to obtain temporary completion certificates, as prescribed in the new policy introduced by the authority from September 1.

Residents shifted to the society in 2015 without waiting for OCs, but in 2016 the developer obtained the OCs for six towers out of 12.

However, registry has still not happened owing to the land dues.

The society has 600 flats in 12 towers.
