GreNo: Another FIR lodged against the Amrapali Group The home buyers at the police station

Today, home buyers of stalled housing projects in Greater Noida West had lodged an FIR in Bisrakh Police Station against the Amrapali Group.

Approximately a hundred buyers of different housing projects like Century Park, Golf Home, Dream Valley and Verona Heights had gathered at a circular ground in Gaur City Noida Extension before moving towards the police station.

They have handed a written complaint to Ajay Kumar Sharma, station officer of Bisrakh Police Station and urged him to register a complaint against the real estate major.

Around 47 home buyers have incidentally given a joint complaint on the basis of which the FIR has been registered. The real estate major has now been booked under section 420 (cheating) and 406 (criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code.

The police have also informed the agitated buyers that more investigations on the matter of delayed possession are already in progress.

Shweta Bharti, General Secretary of Noida ExtensionFlats Owners Welfare Association, said that the majority of the home buyers had booked flats with the Amrapali Group in 2010-2011. They were assured possession by 2014. However, construction of some of these projects has not even started.

S P Mittal, Neeraj Kumar, Megha Visht, Yogesh Tyagi and Bhaskar Bhasin are some of the people who have spearheaded the police complaint.

It is to be noted that the buyers have already made a major share of the payment. They have also alleged that the builder has not followed the sale and purchase agreement between them.
