Monday on, Gurgaon deputy commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh will take the role of administrator for Ryan International School Bhondsi. This action was a result of the lapses in security and safety of students inside the school premises which led to the gruesome murder of an eight year old child on September 9, 2017.
The recent incident has not only highlighted the importance of safety and security guidelines but has also brought home the need for regular audits in schools to abide by CBSE guidelines.
While the teaching staff will remain the same, the security guards have already been suspended last week. A new set of guards will be decided by the administrator. The schools that are not following safety and security guidelines have recently got a clear warning from the DC at a press conference.
Meanwhile, Ryan Bhondsi will reopen from Monday. However, with parents frightened about sending their wards to the school, it remains to be seen if attendance is affected or not.
