It rained, and of course Gurgaon couldn't handle it

With a 10 mm rainfall recorded in Gurgaon on Friday, the weather turned pleasant, but the roads, as usual, were thrown into chaos.

Some of the worst hit areas were the Sector 17/18 dividing road, IFFCO Chowk, Rajeev Chowk and Sector 10A. Due to ongoing infrastructure work, commuters were stuck at these junctions for hours.

Despite the city witnessing about 26 per cent less rainfall this year, it is believed that the coming days will see more downpours. "There is possibility of rain and thunderstorm in the Himalayas. We may soon be witnessing the onset of winter," said an official of the Met department.

While the minimum temperature recorded was 25.8°C, the maximum was 35.4°C.
