A driver of Modern School in Greater Noida was seen plying the bus on the wrong side of Beta 2 Road. As if that wasn't enough, he wasn't even wearing a uniform, as this video shot by a passerby Harinder Bhatti revealed.
The DM, BN Singh, had instructed schools to ensure that drivers wore a uniform with the school name embossed on it.
Bhatti, a member of Active Citizens’ Group, told City Spidey that most school drivers don’t wear uniforms. “The DM had instructed all schools of the district on the issue of safety of school children, but as the video shows, schools are not serious about the matter,” Bhatti complained.
H Tiwari, assistant return transport officer (ARTO) of GB Nagar, said, “We will take immediate action and will send a notice to the school management. We will pull them up for such open violation.”
