Nirala Eden Park, a residential Society in Ahinsa Khand 2, Indirapuram, elected its new RWA body on Sunday. The election process was conducted in presence of election officers DK Maurya, Partha Mazumdar and Parthapriyo Ghosh. Residents casted their votes between 10 am and 4 pm. The election saw a voter turnout of seventy five percent, with 165 of the total 220 households casting their votes. The new RWA executive body comprises 11 members.
DK Maurya, an election officer who is also the general secretary of FedAOA, told City Spidey that the election was peaceful. "The executive board selected the president, vice-president and other posts," added Maurya.

The new executive body selected Kavita Mathur as the president, Ram Swarup Gulati as vice-president, Sanjeev Kakoti as general secretary and Mrityunjay Jha as the treasurer of the new RWA.
Kavita Mathur, the new president, who was also a part of the previous RWA team, was happy with the turnout. She said, "I will continue to serve my society and try to live up to expectations," said Mathur. Upgrading the security system, whitewashing works in the buildings and a few other maintenance issues are on her priority list.
