After the gruesome episode in Ryan International, Bhondsi — the school is back in news for another shocking incident. This time, it’s the branch in Sector 31, Gurgaon. A music teacher allegedly asked girls to slap some boys loud enough to be heard for making noise in class.
The teacher was suspended on Friday. The incident supposedly came to light months after it happened. But the parents took immediate action and promptly complained to the principal.
“The teacher asked the girls to slap loud enough for her to hear. What method is this of maintaining discipline? What if the eardrums were damaged?” lashed out a parent.
Another parent added, “Our children are threatened and feel scared to speak out, but this issue needs to be sorted out — now!”
The music teacher, Harpreet, it seems, would often ask girls to slap boys hard, and she threatened to slap them if they didn't.
The district administration, on its part, has asked parents to inform them in case of any untoward incidents to enable them to take action.
