To focus on renewable solar power as a solution to overcome power deficit in the city, Gurgaon First, an NGO, in association with the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), will hold a conclave today at the auditorium of Sehgal Foundation, behind Epicentre in Sector 44.

Besides discussing the renewable energy options for the city, the meet will also focus on the burning issues of water management and waste segregation and its final disposal.

The conclave is expected to start from 4 pm.

Officials from the MCG and district administration, RWA members and other guests are expected to be present at the conclave.

Speaking to City Spidey, Shubra Puri, founder of Gurgaon First, said, “Our city is struggling with power shortage and the only solution could be solar rooftops for tapping into high-intensity solar radiation. All residents must get familiar with the practice.”

In fact, the ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE) has shortlisted Gurgaon for installation of solar rooftops.
