Residents of Indirapuram high rises took to swimming pools of their societies to celebrate Chhat puja, the annual puja of the sun god. Devotees thronged society pools to conduct pujas.

Women descend into the swimming pool of Shipra Suncity decked in all their finery and with the mandatory offerings for the Sun God.

Young boys and girls sprinkle flowers into the swimming pool at Amrapalli Village Complex to make it ready for the devotees.

The puja venue at Shipra Sun City remained the prime venue of Chhat for Indirapuram residents with residents from various societies in Ghaziabad and even Noida participating in it.

The devotees, mostly society residents told City Spidey that they went to the society pools instead of going to the Chhat ghaat of river Hindon as the water there is dirty.

The festival concluded today with arghya [offering of milk or water] to the rising sun. In the early morning hours, the devotees and vratees [those who kept fast] paid their respects to the rising sun at the Chhath Ghats in various sectors and societies.

Apart from the mandatory rituals and prayers, there were some light moments too.
