Speaking to City Spidey, Dayanand Prasad, OSD of GDA, said, “The builder owed around Rs 106 crore to the GDA, and had not paid up despite repeated notices. The pending payments include Rs 101 crore in property charges, and another Rs 4-5crore in compounding charges.”
Prasad maintained that the commercial area of the compound was left out, as the shops had already received their completion certificates. “The tower under construction behind the shops and their offices have been sealed,” he further said.
Yudhveer Singh, manager, of Indirapuram Habitat Centre, confirmed that some portion of the project was sealed off today by the GDA over pending payments. Singh maintained that the builder had already initiated the procedure of payments a month back and the payments will be made soon.
