Ganpati Apartment gets a makeover

Ganpati Apartment, Sector 9, Dwarka, is undergoing a makeover.

The internal roads and boundary walls are being repaired and all the six lifts are being replaced by new ones. The society has a newly elected managing committee and administration head.

The secretary of the managing committee, TP Singh, is supervising the works.

"The renovation works were initiated by our new managing committee," said Advocate KS Bhati, president of the society.

All residents of Ganpati Apartment, also known as Sumit Vihar Cooperative Group Housing Society (SVCGHS), were informed that Colonel AK Sabharwal had assumed responsibility of the society's administration from April 11.

"He will be addressing in-house maintenance issues and other difficulties faced by residents," said Bhati. "On his first day as admin, he helped save our water charges by up to 50 per cent, which amounts to Rs 2.21 lakh. On the very next day, he managed to waive a penalty of Rs 22,000, which was slapped on us because of problems related to our rainwater-harvesting plant. We are thankful to him for his help,” said Bhati.
