Delhi Development Authority has assured the Federation of Cooperative Group Housing Societies (FCGHS) in Dwarka that it shall undertake the responsibility of pruning overgrown branches and cutting dead trees along with the management of horticulture waste.

Today a joint survey was done by the horticultural department of DDA (under the guidance of their deputy director YD Sharma) and the FCGHS team. A recce of the subcity was conducted to assess the actual situation.

Speaking to City Spidey, Sudha Sinha, general secretary of FCGHS Dwarka said, “The survey was fruitful and the horticultural department has determined its plan of action along with timelines. We showed him the branches that are covering the traffic signals across the sub city. The deputy director has stated that pruning shall start from Friday. He also said that DDA has got the sanction to cut the dead trees in Dwarka.”

Yesterday a delegation of FCGHS had visited the DDA office at Vikas Sadan and met Sri Pal, principal commissioner of the horticulture department to apprise him about the urgency of horticulture management in Dwarka. In the course of the meeting issues like pruning, cleaning of grasses and horticulture waste management were discussed.
