Earlier in the day, CBI officials had taken the boy to the crime scene for the reenactment of the events as they unfolded on the day of the murder.
The 16-year-old boy accused in the Ryan International murder case has been produced in the Juvenile Justice Board before principal magistrate Devender Singh today afternoon. He will be kept in an observation home in Faridabad till November 22.
Earlier in the day, a team of about 15 CBI officials had taken the boy to the crime scene for the reenactment of the events as they unfolded on the day of the murder.
The CBI team arrives with the boy
The boy had earlier confessed that after raising the alarm he quietly went to his class, where the exams had already started, but had to be eventually called off.
The accused has also identified the shop — a makeshift arrangement selling kitchen knick-knacks — from where the murder weapon was purchased a day before the incident.
The shop owner, Pawan [his full name is not known yet], however, does not remember the boy’s face or selling a knife to him. He also said that he has stopped selling the kind of knife used for the murder a month back since they are not in production anymore. Under such circumstances, the murder weapon as evidence is questionable.
Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar’s lawyer had applied for bail yesterday, and the court hearing for the same is scheduled for November 16.
