The Pradyuman murder case, which has invited parallels with the botched-up Arushi murder investigation, now has another point of comparison. The accused juvenile will now be defended by Lawyer Tanveer Ahmed Mir, who also defended the Talwars almost a decade back.
Gurgaon Police had initially arrested Ashok Kumar for the murder. However, things took a murkier turn when the CBI later arrested a Class XI commerce student of the same school for the heinous crime.
According to the CBI, the 16-year-old wanted to stall the examinations and killing a school boy would do just that. He had no specific target, and Pradyuman, unfortunately, walked into the toilet at the wrong moment.
The juvenile was earlier seen as a witness.
The father of the accused believes his son has been falsely implicated by the CBI, and he has approached Mir to take up his son’s cause.
“I have gone through the case and I will defend the juvenile," confirmed Mir.
"We have discussed the details with the lawyer. I am hopeful that with his experience in dealing with the CBI, this case will now take a different turn," said the father.
