Dissatisfied residents had previously protested against Noida Authority’s neglect of civic issues in the locality
Local MP and Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture, Dr Mahesh Sharma, on Saturday, assured the residents of eight societies in Sector 137, Noida that all their civic problems will be resolved soon. He told them that he will also talk to officials of Noida Authority in this regard. This assurance was given during a visit of the MP to the sector wherein residents of the eight societies like Exotica Fresco, Paramount Floraville, Gulshan Vivante, Ajnara Daffodil, Paras Tierea and Purvanchal Royal Park among others apprised Sharma of their problems in presence of officials of Noida Authority.
It is to be noted that a couple of weeks ago, thousands of residents from Sector 137 had come out on streets to demonstrate against Noida Authority. The residents had been feeling that issues like dysfunctional drainage systems, lack of parks, scarcity of drinking water and lack of safety measures are being neglected by Noida Authority.
