YEIDA hands over completion certificates for 1,041 flats

There’s reason to cheer for the homebuyers of Gaursons project in Sector 22 of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). Completion certificates for 1,041 residential units were released yesterday by YEIDA.

According to an official of YEIDA, more completion certificates for others projects in the Yamuna area would be released soon. “We have also started the process of property registration. So far, we have registered 2,970 flats in different projects,” he added.

In a meeting held in Lucknow on September 12, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the officials of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority to deliver 50,000 flats to buyers before December 31 this year.

The three-minister committee formed by the chief minister earlier this year to solve builder-buyer issues is scheduled to meet builders and officials of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority in Delhi on December 4.

The committee — comprising state industries minister Satish Mahana, urban housing minister Suresh Khanna and state minister Suresh Rana — was formed on August 22.

The three ministers will review the progress made on the CM’s order. Officials are expected to provide the details of the project to the ministerial panel on December 4.

According to an official of GNIDA, around 25,000 homebuyers will get their flats before year-end. An official of Noida Authority said, “We have already given occupancy and completion certificates to builders of about 8,000 flats, and plan to do so for 10,000 more in the coming days.”

About 2.5 lakh homebuyers in GB Nagar have not been able to get possession despite depositing over 60 to 70 per cent value of the property.
