Gurgaon Police makes a breakthrough in recent robbery cases

The Gurgaon Police have made some breakthroughs in the recent robbery cases that have occurred in the city. While they have arrested one person in connection to the one crore robbery at Ambience Mall, they have also released a sketch of the boy who is allegedly involved with the sensational robberies that had happened almost simultaneously in two five star hotels.

The robbery in Ambience Mall was executed by a staff of the SIS group, which undertakes responsibility for feeding cash into ATMS. The man who had fled with a crore has been identified as Hemant Kumar. He hails from a village in Rohtak district.

“Hemant had distributed cash to a few people. Out of these people, one man called Shekhar has already been arrested and taken into police custody for three days. We are trying to recover the cash that Shekhar received from Hemant. However, Hemant is still absconding,” said Inspector Sudeep Singh, SHO of the police station at DLF Phase 2.

In connection to the Leela and Westin robbery cases, the police have released a picture of one of the two suspects. The picture of the second suspect is indecipherable.

Speaking to City Spidey, Singh said, “The suspects are from a community that has its roots in Madhya Pradesh. This community is infamous for staging robberies at wedding ceremonies. An investigation team has already been sent to Madhya Pradesh.”

With the investigations are on in full swing, the Gurgaon Police are aiming to solve both the cases at the earliest.
