Buyers of SVP Gulmohar Residency, an upcoming residential project in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, met Ritu Maheshwari, vice-chairperson of Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), over alleged delay in delivery of flats.
According to the buyers, the builder was supposed to deliver their flats by March 2013, but has not done so till date. The buyers had also raised the issue in front of the UP government’s ministerial committee in August.
After the meeting with the ministerial committee, in a letter addressed to the vice-chairperson of GDA, the builder had agreed to deliver the flats by December this year, but nothing has happened so far.
Speaking to City Spidey, buyers of the project said that they had held a host of meetings with the builder, but nothing came of these.
“SVP has repeatedly missed its deadlines, and construction work is moving at a sluggish pace. A lot of work on facilities such as the firefighting system, lifts and sewage-treatment plants is still left, apart from other smaller issues,” said a buyer, who did not want to be named.
Maheshwari confirmed that a meeting between the buyers and the builder has been called on December 8, and the issues will be discussed in the presence of GDA officials.
Several attempts to contact Sunil Jindal, CEO of SVP group, failed, as the CEO was supposedly out of the town.
