GDA commits to handover 3/4ths of the total flats by this month. The remaining shall be given by January 10.
With Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) demarcating delivery dates of their flats, hopes are high among buyers of SVP Gulmohar Residency, an upcoming residential high-rise in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. In a joint meeting held today between GDA officials, representatives of the builder (SVP Group) and buyers, it was decided that the builder would deliver three towers of the society by the end of this month. The fourth tower shall be delivered by January 10.
According to the buyers, the builder was supposed to deliver all the 450 flats of the society by March 2013. In August this year, the buyers had apprised the UP government’s ministerial committee about the delay. They had also recently met Ritu Maheswari, vice chairperson of GDA.
Maheshwari said that the builder has been asked to deliver three of the four towers by December and the fourth tower will be delivered by January 10. However, she stated that the builder owed Rs 5 crore to the GDA by way of various charges. “I have asked the builder to apply for completion certificate and clear the pending amount. The completion certificates and NOCs will be issued once the builder clears everything,” Maheshwari stated
“It was a fruitful meeting. We are hoping to get our homes soon. We have been waiting for several years now,” said SK Panda, secretary of Gulmohar Residency Buyers Association, after today’s meeting.
Attempts to draw a comment from Sunil Jindal, CEO of SVP Group via telephone failed. We did not receive any response till now and will update you on his reply as soon as we get it.
