The main accused of the double murder case that happened in Gaur City 2 in Noida Extension has been arrested in Varanasi by the Noida Police. The accused has been put under transit remand and is being brought back to Noida.
On Tuesday night, a woman along with her daughter was found dead (with multiple stab injuries) at her residence in Greater Noida’s Gaur City area. The prime suspect was her 16 year old son who was the only one present in the house when the incident took place. The police had inferred that the suspect had committed the crime as he was involved in a real life “crime game”.
Since then a team of more than 50 policemen from Gautam Budh Nagar were hunting for the suspect who has been absconding. Sources in the police had informed City Spidey that the boy’s last location (determined by his mobile records) was around the Chandni Chowk area. However, after that the mobile had been switched off. Incidentally, the family members of the murdered woman had also appealed to the son to return home.
“Meanwhile, the pictures and details of the boy had been posted on various platforms in a bid to trace him. We had also offered a reward for any forthcoming assistance,” said a senior police officer. Sources had informed City Spidey that the reward was a cash prize between Rs20,000 and Rs25,000.
