Gaur City 2 double murder: Son admits to the killings, say Noida Police

The 16-year-old juvenile, the main suspect in the double murders of mother and sister in Gaur City 2, admitted to the killings, say Noida Police. He did so in a fit of rage after being beaten up by his mother over studies on the night of the murder.

A team of Noida police arrested the juvenile from Varanasi yesterday night.

Luv Kumar, SSP of GB Nagar, said, “According to the boy’s admission, the mother had scolded and beaten the juvenile on Monday afternoon. He was studying on a sofa, and his mother told him to study properly while sitting at a table. The boy refused to obey his mother. She thrashed him, leaving him angry. At this point, he started plotting the killings."

The mother, along with her son and daughter, went to the local market in the evening and returned with dinner around 8.30 pm.

"The family had dinner and then went to bed around 10 pm. The boy got up at night and hit both his mother and sister with a cricket bat, a pair of scissors and a pizza cutter. The boy changed his clothes and fled with cash in a bag," the police said.

The police also said that the juvenile got into a taxi outside his society and went straight to New Delhi railway station. He then took a train to Ludhiana, from there he travelled to several places, including Chandigarh, Shimla, Ranchi, Mughal Sarai and Varanasi.

He told police that he lost his bag, money and mobile phone in Varanasi. Shaken up, he contacted his father with a stranger’s phone. The family then informed the police, who reached the spot and apprehended the suspect from Varanasi.

The father is still coming to grips with the situation. He said, “In every family, members try to discipline their children. I don’t know what prompted the brutal killings. The boy had not shown such tendencies in the past."
