Besides delayed possession of towers, buyers who have already moved in have been repeatedly complaining about lack of enough security measures and poor quality of the basic facilities.
Officials of Noida Authority visited Jaypee Aman, a residential project in Sector 151 of Noida, yesterday to inspect the facilities provided by the developer.
The visit came in the wake of repeated complaints made by the residents to Noida Authority.
The society has 22 towers. Around 400 families are living in five towers from the past one year. For the remaining 17 towers, the construction needs to be completed.
AK Rai, additional CEO of Noida Authority, told City Spidey, “The residents had made complaints about the insufficient security and poor quality of basic facilities provided by the builder. We told the builder to increase the security measures and instal CCTV cameras inside the society. Buyers of Jaypee Aman have also expressed their ire about late possession. ”
He also asked the builder to submit a tower-wise report about the facilities, and complete construction work of the remaining towers within a week’s time.
Arun Singh, a buyer, said, “I had booked my flat in 2012 and paid 70 per cent of the flat amount to the developer. But there’s has been no progress on the delivery.”
At present, there are 203 stuck housing projects in Greater Noida and 94 in Noida.
And around 2 lakh homebuyers are paying the price!
