Residents of Supertech Capetown and Grand Ajnara Heritage, both located in Sector 74, Noida, have a New Year gift from Noida Authority — the promise of a well-equipped park between the two societies.
Noida Authority released an e-tender this week to that effect. Bids for the job will open on January 6.
A park has been the longstanding demand of residents, and there have been several meetings with officials of Noida Authority on the matter.
IP Singh, a Noida Authority engineer, told City Spidey, “Besides normal facilities, the park will also have an open gym. The budget of the park and time taken for completion are not yet decided. We can pan out these details only after we have selected a contractor for the job.”
Dhananjay Kumar, a resident of Grand Ajnara Heritage, said, “We met Noida Authority officials many times, urging them to develop the vacant plot into a park. Even until a few months back, the builder of Supertech Capetown would dump construction material there. Fortunately, the residents of both the societies removed the dump and stopped the builder with help from Noida Authority.”
