Gurgoan's Aura gains big time with solar panels

To increase its green footprint, RWA of Aura condominium in Sector 110A, Gurgaon, is supporting the power consumption of its residential club though solar panels.

The condominium is spread over an area of 17 acres.

The two solar panels with 80 plates each can generate upto 20 KW of power every day. In winter, each panel is able to generate 8.5 KW, and in summers, that figure goes upto almost 17-20 KW.

The monthly requirement of the club is around 200 kilowatts, and the power generated by the panels together is, on average, 35 KW daily.

Chavi Lal, property manager of Aura, said, “We service the invertors once a month, however, the panels are cleaned on a daily basis.”

The society also gets subsidy from the government for using solar panels.

Yashesh Yadav, RWA president, said, “Our next step is to avail more subsidy by using solar power for common-floor electricity.”
