Desperate homebuyers’ SOS to Noida Authority

As all other avenues failed to get them the possession of their flats, homebuyers of Noida knocked at the door of the Noida Authority. Amrapali, Supertech and Gaur are among the builders which have failed to meet their deadline on delivery of flats.

Exasperated by the delaying tactics of the builders, a group of 40 homebuyers met Additional CEO of Noida Authority PK Agarwal with a request to intervene in the matter and ensure that they get the possession of their flats at the earliest.

Ratna Singh, a member of the Flat Buyer Association, told City Spidey that she had booked her flat in 2012 by paying 90 per cent of the cost to the Supertech builder. The deadline for the possession of her flat was March, 2015. But the flat is yet to be handed over to her.

Ramesh Tomar, another member of the association, said the delay in getting possession of the flats is proving a double whammy for them. They have to rent an accommodation on the one hand, while paying for EMIs of the flat they have booked on the other.

Aggarwal informed the City Spidey that he will soon meet the builders and sort out the matter.
