In a bid to streamline electricity-related complaints in Noida, the electricity department has started a helpline number for residents, who will no longer have to call the electricity office to lodge their complaints or get necessary information.
The helpline number, 1912, is active and residents have already started calling. Once a consumer’s phone number is registered, he or she will regularly keep getting updates on plans and services on their phones via SMS, along with any information regarding the status of their complaint.
Gajendra Singh, an official of the electricity department, said the helpline would also allow consumers to get their electricity bills via phone. Those who use smartphones can also get updates via WhatsApp once their number is registered. Information on power cus or shutdowns can also be availed on this.
