Buyers of Gulmohar Residency, are worried as promises of delivery of their flats are falling flat. The builder has been dishonouring deadlines.
What’s worse is the fact that the buyers are now unable to meet builders and their representatives despite waiting at the society’s project office for hours. Ghaziabad Development Authority(GDA) in a joint meeting of builder and buyers had declared delivery dates of their flats, and the builder was supposed to deliver three of the four towers of the society by the end of December and the fourth tower by January 10.
According to the buyers, the builder was supposed to deliver all the 450 flats of the society by March 2013, but has not done till date. The buyers had raised the issue in front of the UP government’s ministerial committee in August and had later met Ritu Maheswari, Vice Chairperson of GDA.
SK Panda, a buyer of the project told City Spidey that looking at the current status of the project, it does not seem that the flats will be handed over any time soon. “Work seemed to have gained momentum after the rap from the ministerial committee but it has slowed down now,” Panda said.
Buyers further said that they have been invited for a meeting by the builder on the coming Saturday.
The buyers later took to twitter to raise their issue and bring it to the notice of the GDA. Ritu Maheshwari, District Magistrate of Ghaziabad, who is also the Vice Charman of GDA responded on Twitter and assured buyers that a meeting would be called at the GDA office next week.
SVP group, the builder, did not respond to the calls of the resident s. Residents have also sent queries via messages but did not receive any response till the time of writing this report.
City Spidey will publish the builder’s reply as soon as it is received.TAGS: SVP Group / Gulmohar Residency / Home buyers / Ghaziabad Development Authority / Ritu Maheswari / VC / GDA /
