Today, Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar visited the GD Goenka World School to meet the children who were attacked on the school bus by Karni Sena protestors before the release of the controversial Bhansali movie Padmaavat.
In the course of his interaction, Khattar condemned the attack and assured the children that the government is concerned about their safety and well-being.
The children in turn recounted the horrific sequence of events that had unfurled on the fateful day of January 24. They described how they had been told by the teachers to lie down on the floor of the bus, at the time of the attack. Khattar applauded the school staff for their quick thinking and courage that saved the situation.
