On one hand there is the drought impacting lakhs of farmers in Maharashtra, and on the other is a callous Noida developer wasting gallons of potable water.

The issue was highlighted after a few residents of Silicon City, Sector 76, noticed a leakage in the apartment's water treatment plant. Ritesh Agarwal, a resident, complained of a leak in the drinking-water supply line. Residents blame it on the poor quality of pipes used.
Leaks have been observed in the water treatment plant near towers A and L.
Niraj Mishra, another resident, said, "Noida Authority should impose a hefty fine on the builder. This has been happening for the past two years now. Why aren't they doing anything about it?"
Apart from the disgraceful waste, there is also another problem. The leaked water has stagnated in the basement and has become a health concern for residents.
When City Spidey contacted the Amrapali spokesperson, he was not available for comment.
MP Sharma, project engineer of Noida Authority, said that a team of the Authority's top officials has planned to visit the apartment and take appropriate action.
