Indirapuram: 'Happy' couple found dead on bathroom floor on Holi

Yesterday around 6.30 pm, Neeraj Singhania and his wife Ruchi had locked themselves in their bedroom after playing holi. The couple in their mid-thirties, who lived in a residential society of the Gyan Khand area of Indirapuram, was found lying nude and dead on the bathroom floor exactly three hours later.

“When they did not respond to our calls for dinner, we got worried,” said the younger brother of the deceased man. “At around 9.30 pm I peeked in through the bathroom window and saw a portion of my sister-in-law’s feet lying motionless on the ground. I called the other family members and we broke open the door and found the two of them lying nude and lifeless on the floor,” the brother narrated.

The couple was immediately taken to the Max Hospital in Vaishali in an ambulance where they were declared brought dead.

Officials of the Indirapuram police station told City Spidey that the bodies have been sent for post mortem and the police can only ascertain the cause of the mysterious deaths after the reports come in.

The couple used to live with their daughter, Neeraj’s parents, brother and sister. According to the police, all the family members were present in the flat at the time of the incident. Family members and neighbours have said that the deceased were an ideal couple. “
