The mystery surrounding the death of the couple in Gyan Khand area of Indirapuram has now deepened as the police have stated that the post mortem reports have failed to ascertain any reason. Yesterday evening around 9.30 pm, the family members of Neeraj (38) and Ruchi Singhania (35) had found them lying nude and lifeless on the bathroom floor.

According to the police, all the family members were present in the flat at the time of the incident. At around 6.30 pm after playing Holi on the building’s terrace with the rest of the family, Neeraj and Ruchi had locked themselves inside their bedroom. Later in the evening, when they did not respond to calls for dinner, Neeraj’s younger brother went to their bathroom window to investigate. It was only then that the incident came to light.

According to relatives, the couple had been in a festive mood yesterday and there had been no reason for any worry. “They were in fact planning a birthday celebration soon for both their fathers,” a close relative revealed.

Speaking to City Spidey, Sachin Malik, a senior officer from Indirapuram police station, said, “We have now requested for the visceral reports of both the deceased persons. According to the doctors there could have been some kind of internal poisoning. The visceral reports will ascertain this."
