In what could be more interesting stuff than Super Thief Bunty alias Devinder Singh, the Noida Police has cracked a gang of thieves who used to operate in ‘corporate style’. In their net this time is yet another Bunty- Bunty Yadav. He used to employ fellow burglars on a monthly salary basis to make them work for his syndicate.

Bunty mainly recruited school dropouts who were in need of money. His employees had to be fit and athletic and he offered a salary of Rs. 20,000 per month. The 'employed thieves' were also provided accommodation.

The gang led by Bunty Yadav (27) and his accomplices, Shailesh Yadav (20) and Sintu Yadav (18), on Monday ran out of luck when a police party accosted them near the D Block Park in Noida Sector 62. The police party found them to be suspicious looking and frisked them. A country made pistol was recovered from Bunty.

While his accomplices had been overpowered by the police, Bunty tried to escape on the motorcycle (registration no. DL4S BD 6143), which the trio had stolen from Mayur Vihar area yesterday. The sub-inspector held him by the collar from behind but was injured as he was dragged for a few metres. The other cops converged at the spot and finally apprehended Bunty who then was thoroughly interrogated.

All three accused are residents of Khora Colony of Ghaziabad and according to the police they used to steal motor cycles from Noida, Indirapuram, Mayur Vihar and other regions of the NCR. Dharmender Singh, senior sub-inspector of Sector 58 Police Station (of Noida) told City Spidey that the trio had another expertise for snatching mobile phones from pedestrians and used to zip past on their motorcycles.

Police sources added that in the past, some persons who had been arrested on similar charges, had hinted that they had been working (robbing) for a monthly salary. The police is now digging deep into their own records to ascertain whether Bunty Yadav was the employer of these burglars as well!
