AOAs and RWAs of Noida and Ghaziabad can now register themselves online

With the introduction of the online platform of the Registrar of Firms Societies and Chits of Uttar Pradesh (http://uprfsc.gov.in), Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and Apartment Owners Associations (AOA) of Noida and Ghaziabad are heaving a sigh of relief. For now these associations don’t have to go all the way to Meerut to register themselves or renew their registrations. The online registration process entails a cost of Rs 2000. Renewal on the other hand requires Rs 1000.

Speaking to City Spidey, Alok Kumar, president of Federation of Association of Apartment Owners said “There have been several instances when our files and documents were lost in the Meerut office. Thereby the registration/renewal process got unnecessarily delayed and complicated. Hence we have been demanding for an online platform for quite sometime. We have also raised demands for a local registrar office for Noida and Ghaziabad.”

According to AOA members, an online platform will also eradicate the role of middlemen who facilitate the registrations and renewals in exchange of bribes.

Similar views were shared by Rajiva Singh, president of Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Association. “Documents that are submitted online will be safe and stored digitally. Corruption will be stemmed out through the online platform,” Singh said.
