GB Nagar flat buyers seek Anna Hazare’s support Anna Hazare in a meeting with the buyer fraternity

On Friday, flat buyers of Amrapali and JP Group met social activist Anna Hazare in Maharashtra Sadan, to seek his support in the builder-buyer fight.

Buyers say that their confidence in the political and administrative system has crumbled as insolvency bids are being raised against builders. While builders are facing legal issues in relation to their bank debts, buyers feel that their interests are being compromised in the bargain.

KK Kaushal, an Amrapali buyer told City Spidey, that the buyer fraternity has requested Hazare to raise their concerns in his protest, which is going to start on March 23 at Delhi. “In August last year, the homebuyers of Noida and Greater Noida had met Hazare in Pune. He had then requested us to send detailed files of all the case studies of overdue projects,” he added

Kaushal also said that the Amrapali buyers had staged a 50 day protest that had fetched no outcome. “Now we want Hazare to support us in this fight so that we get our flat possession as soon as possible,” said Kaushal.

"The buyers have already paid their life-long savings to the developer when the flats had been booked in 2010-11. Today so many years later, the flats have still not been delivered and the state and central government too have not helped us,” said Pramod Kumar a buyer of JP Group.

Hazare told the buyers that he will discuss the matter with his core committee and take a decision.
