Noida Police registered an FIR at Sector 24 police station yesterday afternoon against the principal and two teachers of Ahlcon Public School under IPC Sections 306, 354, 506, and POCSO Act.

Noida Police registered an FIR at Sector 24 police station at 3 am on Wednesday against the principal and two teachers of Ahlcon Public School, Mayur Vihar Phase I.

According to Arun Kumar Singh, SP City, “We registered the FIR under the IPC Sections 306 (abetment to suicide), 354 (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and POCSO Act."

The SP also visited the school to gather details. He spoke to the principal, the two teachers named by the parents and others at the school. No arrests have been made so far and the SP said the future course of action will depend on the evidence gathered and further investigation. According to details gathered, the victim had flunked two subjects in the annual examination, and there was a question of retest.

 

 

A constable clerk, Nirpendra Kumar Singh, who had registered the FIR was suspended for not including Sections 354 and POCSO Act in the FIR. 

A Class IX student committed suicide on Tuesday evening after undergoing depression for obtaining low scores in the recently concluded school examinations. The student, identified as Ekisha Raghav Shah, lived in Sector 52 with her family.

Ekisha had hung herself from the ceiling fan of her room. She was rushed to the Kailash Hospital by her parents, where doctors pronounced her dead.

Family members have alleged that the girl committed suicide as she was being mentally harassed by school teachers.
