Rahgiri comes as a welcome break

Rahgiri Day was organised by the RWA of Sector 39 on January 10. The event turned out to be a big draw for the health conscious. The early morning chill of January was no dampener for the spirit of these fitness lovers.

For all those who attended the event in large numbers, it was all fun, away from the hustle-bustle of daily routine. During the day-long event, the organisers had lined up a bevy of activities such as cycling, nimbus race, skating and other fun-filled outdoor games.

These activities were meant for people of all age groups and categories, young and old, men and women alike. Special events were organised for senior citizens too.

While children participated in cycle race, nimbus race was for all irrespective of age and gender. For the hard-core fitness freaks, there were a series of aerobics events.

There was tug-of-war contest between children and adults which was surprisingly won by the latter. From 5 to 80 years of age, all were eligible to participate in the event.

Mrs Vatsala Parashar, president of the RWA, was the convenor of the event, who was helped by other two office-bearers of the association, MC Gaur and Mrs Bindu tyagi, in organising the event successfully.
