Friendly neighbourhood policemen came calling on the children living in Lovely Home Apartments of Dwarka sub-city Sector 5 on Sunday and made some presentations on policing. Officials from Dwarka Sector 1, police chowki also made the children aware of the good and bad touch.

The police officials said that they were not police, but police uncle for the children. The police team comprised of sub inspector Arun Negi, Assistant Sub-Inspector Shailender Singh, head constable Anoop Singh and constable Dinesh Singh.

The policemen told their little friends that they could approach them anytime. Negi said to City Spidey, "It was a wonderful session as we interacted with toddlers, school going children and college students. We want policing to get closer with the community and are making our efforts. I am happy that children were curious about policing. We tried to answer all their questions.”

The housing society organises a specific session with experts from various fields and agencies every month so that the children could get exposed to different aspects of life. A management team member, LR Tongaria said “We have planned to host one such event every month for the children. It may be related to environment, science and technology, academic subject, media, civic agencies, etc. We have made this model so that our children can learn how our society is managed.”
