The Noida police on Thursday found a dead body of 35-year-old cab owner inside his vehicle in Sector 108. The deceased, Lokendra Singh, was a resident of Surajpur in Greater Noida. He was working as a supervisor in a security agency.

As the dead body was found after two days of his death, it had started to decompose. The dead body was found outside Lotus Panache, a residential society in Sector 110.

According to the residents of society, the cab was lying at the spot for last two nights. The residents initially thought that the cab driver was sleeping inside the car. But, when residents opened the gate of the taxi, they found the dead body.

The residents then called the police and informed about the dead body lying in a vehicle outside the residential society.

“Lokendra was out of his home for the past two days and his family member lodged a missing complaint in Surajpur police station this morning,” police said.

According to Pankaj Rai, station officer of Surajpur police station, Lokendra was supposed to return home last night, but when he did not come back; his family members lodged a missing complaint on Thursday morning.

Avneesh Dixit, station officer of Sector 39 police station told City Spidey that Lokendra was missing for the past two days and his family member lodged a missing complaint in Surajpur police station.

“The attackers hit on the head with a heavy object and it appears that the robbery was not the exact motive because the attackers did not take away his wallet and car,” Dixit said.

According to police, Ajay Sharma, who works for Lokendra as a cab driver, is the main suspect in the case.

Ajay was working as a cab driver for the last 2-3 years. “We are conducting search operations at various suspected locations to nab Ajay, who fled after the incident,” Rai said.
