The police claimed that the woman, identified as Deepika, had committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan.

A newly married woman allegedly committed suicide at Dwarka Sector 7’s Meghdoot Apartments on early Tuesday morning.
According to police, a man named Ashish called the PCR at 2.15 A.M and informed them about his wife’s suicide. Further, the police claimed that the woman, identified as Deepika, had committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan.
The couple had been married nearly two weeks back on 7th May and was staying in a rented accommodation of the society.
Police said that the couple had an argument on Monday evening and both of them went to sleep in separate rooms. However, when Ashish woke up at around 2.00 A.M. he was terrified to see his wife hanging from the ceiling fan.
He then cut the cloth with which she was hanging and kept the body on his bed.
Police further added that no suicide note was recovered from the spot. The body has been preserved in the mortuary of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.
Investigation is still going on in the matter and further details are awaited.
