The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced its class 12th exam result on Saturday. A student from Noida, Meghna Srivastava, has become India topper in the class 12th exam. The CBSE class 12th result was declared at 12:19 pm on its official website cbse.nic.in.
Meghna is a student of Step By Step school in Sector-132 of Noida. She scored 99.8 percentage marks in the 12th exam. She got a total of 499 marks in the examination.
On the other hand, another Noida student, Supriya Kaushik got 497 marks and secured 3rd position in CBSE class 12th exam. She is from Cambridge School in Sector-27.
This year, girls have done better than boys. Overall passing percentage of girls is 88.31 compared to 78.09 of boys. Last year, the boys had performed better.
The overall pass percentage is 83.01 per cent and last year it was 82 per cent. The top three regions are Trivandrum with 97.32 per cent, Chennai with 93.87 per cent and Delhi with 89 per cent.
