The retired army officer had gone for dinner with his family to Dwarka's City Centre Mall.

A retired Army Captain, Vikas Yadav and his family members were allegedly thrashed by five men in Dwarka on May 13. As per the police, the incident took place at midnight outside City Centre Mall in Sector 12 when they were returning home after dinner.

The retired officer has submitted a complaint regarding the matter to Dwarka North Police station.

Yadav claimed that after coming out of the mall, he asked his wife, sister and children to wait for him and his brother-in-law as they went to get his car.

He alleged that five men sitting in a car parked nearby started passing lewd comments at the women. Upon being confronted, two of them even stepped down and started misbehaving with them.

Yadav further said that as he and his brother-in-law reached the spot, they were attacked by the goons. 

He claimed that one of the attackers smashed a liquor bottle on his head that led to bleeding. Moreover, he mentioned in his complaint that the goons threatened his family of dire consequences.

The police said that one of the accused was held at the spot by the retired officer, while the rest were arrested on May 15th.
